Nalanda Buddhist Society

Nalanda Buddist Society was established in early 2003 under the spiritual guidance of Ven.Dr.K.Sri Dhammananda Nayaka Thero.

The society runs the Nalanda Dharma Centre located in Sri Serdang, a suburban centre 15km south of Kuala Lumpur. The Dharma Centre itself was ceremoniously launched by the Maha Sangha on May 1st 2003.

Activities such as dharma talks, meditations, and alms giving, are carried out all year around at the centre the educate the neighbouring community on the noble teachings of the Buddha.

Vision
To facilitate the making of a Buddist community that is pro-active in learning, studying, and practicing the noble teachings of the Buddha, committed to promoting understanding and harmony amoungst the various races and religons in our countrry, and energetic in rendering serices to the populace.

Mission
To reach out the Buddist community in Serdang particularly and Malasysia generally through our activities, programmes, and publications to achieve the stated objecctives of the society.
